The Reverend Judith Ann Jones
The Reverend Judith Ann Jones, Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Thomasville, GA, returned to her home diocese of Georgia in 2007 after serving ten years in the Diocese of Central New York and the Diocese of Chicago, where she primarily worked with small churches and earned a reputation as a successful leader in the areas of church growth and development and community outreach. She is published in Christian education and curriculum planning and has worked with numerous small churches to build age appropriate Christian education programs. Jones has formulated curriculum and produced a video, Children and Stewardship, which has been used in National Council of Churches presentations by John and Caroline Westerhoff, PhDs. This dynamic woman also has served in many leadership roles including a Trustee of Episcopal Charities - Chicago, and the Women’s Fund of Oneida/Herkimer Counties, served on numerous diocesan committees and was a diocesan choice for The Clergy Leadership Project, Trinity – Wall Street. Jones earned a Master of Divinity from Seabury Western Theological Seminary.
The Rev. Jones has four children and eight grandchildren and in her spare time enjoys quilting, sewing, old movies and quiet time.
